4 months old!

My chubby bug is 4 months old today! I should have been taking a picture in the same spot to show how she has grown, oops. Here are some comparables so we can truly grasp the growth here! Can someone please explain to me how this is my baby? My 8 pounder that took 5 days to make an appearance? Yes, the same one who made Dr. Thompson put me through pitocin twice!

Yes, your eyes aren't fooling you, we are now in 3's! After our last visit to Dr. Needle, and Leah's offical weight is 15lb. 11 oz., it was time to move up!

OK, that is a lie, she was in 3's for about a week before the doctor visit :)

when it isn't my turn

My favorite time of night is after Lee's bath, when Vin does the last bottle before bed. I watch him read Leah books, feed her, and sing to her, ususally something goofy to make me laugh. I usually do this from the floor of her bedroom. I lay with the dogs on the carpet and watch the magic I will now refer to as Tuna Time. Yup, that is the new name. done.

Vin does this biting thing with his lip. My sister used to call it, eating his face, but I think he does it when he is concentrating on something. In this case, concentrating on his girls face and watching her doze while feeding her. He is probably thinking to himself... am I going to have to get up in two hours and feed her again if she doesn't finish this bottle??

The ladybug pillow sits forever on the footrest of the glider. Vin always uses his ape feet to grab the bow from its neck, I hate this, I always have to re-tie it when he leaves.

Ted and Emma sit with me on the floor, enjoying a bone and licking my face, each other, whatever. They just got groomed, hence the naked look.

He looks to be posing, but this is the offical face while feeding Lee, just a constant smile.

Vinny always does this thing where he does something stupid or goofy and then asks, what if this was the new way to....

When we were dating it used to be, what if this was the new way to hold hands, and then he would grab my hand and hold it over his head. Or, when we would play tennis or something, he would run really stupid, backwards, or kick his knees up high and say, what if this was the new way to run, would you do it? I would always say... not if you paid me! He did it tonight with the burping. I caught it on video. I knew something good was coming, he was smiling to himself, like the wheels were turning:

water baby

Leah is such a water baby. She LOVES the bath! We have been just putting her in the bath tub with a little towel behind her head because she kicks and splashes so much, it was a mess!

We had a great weekend! It all began on Thursday night when we went to the family fun night at school and Lee got to wear her Ladybug costume. It was alaready 7 when we showed up, so my ladybug was a cranky pants!

Friday night my parents came over for dinner. My mom never gets to see Lee, so we love having them over whenever possible for some grammy and lee time. I love the way she is looking at my mom, so interested, so sly, this kid never misses anything.

Last night was Jacky's birthday! She turned the big 2-5! We went to PEPE's for pizza and some drinks. Jacky is so good with Lee, she just stares so intently and loves to pull on Jack's long hair. This girl has a serious grip!

Then we went to the beach to watch the sunset. It was Leah's first beach experience and she loved every second of it. For those of you who check regularly, you know that Lee is not a smiley girl at night. She is a cranky pants. But she was all smiles last night, she was into the sand and it was a perfect temperature outside. Vinny didn't complain once about being hot, only that he got sand in his shoes. He is such a city boy!
