We had the best time at Leah's 1st birthday party on Saturday! I know Leah had a blast too, I could tell by the 3 hour nap she took when we got home :)

Honestly...

she looks adorable in hats,

devilishly cute when rummaging through my purse (after I have said no 1o times),

like pebbles with her hair in a pony tail,
and like her daddy with a click of the camera!

AND...

with her friends, I see the girl she will become: that friend that you can goof around with, the one that makes everyone laugh... that will be my girl!

Happy Birthday Leah

1 year ago today, my little munchkin made her appearance. It was thoughtful of her to actually decide to be born (I say decide because I know she was in control), considering she strung us along for 2 days! Hooked up on pitocin twice, starved for days, watching other pregnant moms walk in after me and leave before me with thier babies was hard, but I get what she was doing...making sure we knew she was worth the wait.

you eat gum and get the concept of chewing it, AND accept that it doesn't always go as planned.

woops.

You know you are growing up when...

your food isn't mashed and you can pick it up and hold it in your hands

woops again.

You know you are growing up when...

someone says "smile" and you actually do it!

sometimes better than others.

You know you are growing up when...

a cooler, big kid comes over, and you totally want to hang out with them, and they want to hang with you!

And finally, you know you are growing up when...

you can get on a chair all by yourself, kinda gracefully, and your toes touch the floor.
